TIV's containerised cargo and logistics facilities

Terminal Intermodale Venezia (TIV) is ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 certified. The terminal operates in both the containerised cargo sector as well as integrated logistics. TIV has four quays (Veneto, Trento, Bolzano and Lombardia) that have a total length of 1,325 metres and are all easily accessible from the entrance of the commercial port. The terminal is connected by rail to the main cargo rail stations and to six rail tracks for a total length of four kilometres within the terminal’s boundary. TIV manages 185,000 square metres of yard, 17,000 square metres of warehousing as well as related port handling equipment that includes five mobile harbour cranes on the quay and fifteen reach stackers on the yard. This enables TIV to conduct container loading and unloading operations as well as storage operations and container movement activities. 4,500 square metres are allocated to office and maintenance buildings. Amongst those shipping lines calling at the terminal are Maersk, MSC and ZIM.

The remaining area is dedicated to quays, stacking areas and internal roads. TIV provides a stuffing and stripping service for containers and refeer plug connections that feed more than 230 reefer containers. Where IMO hazardous containers are concerned, the terminal guarantees areas set aside for this purpose.
