Artis has been involved in the ports and logistics industry for over 10 years. He commenced his career in container terminals overseeeing day-to-day container operations and progressed to overall terminal management and business development, where he held positions as Terminal Development Manager and advancing to Chief Operating Officer.

Artis broadened his knowledge when he moved on to managing the warehousing and distribution sector of the supply chain for major manufacturers in Latvia.

He joined the group in 2021, as General Manager of Mariner Adriatic, were he was responsible for the day to day management of the terminal for the duration of the contract. Following the completion of the contract, Artis is now focusing on operational and technical developments at Baltic Container Terminal as well as various other projects. 

Artis graduated with a Masters in Transport System Engineering from Riga Technical University in Latvia.
